Different Types of Digestive Disorders

Digestive disorders are ailments which disrupt the digestive process. The food digestion process what causes the nutrients that originate from food and fluids to be broken down into smaller sized molecules so they can be absorbed into the blood and reached the cells throughout the body. 


These disturbances can be triggered by diet, stress or condition. The digestive system includes the digestion tract and any organs that assist digestion, including the esophagus, throat or mouth, belly, guts, anus and anus. Digestive disorders present with a variety of symptoms. 

Common digestive conditions consist of GERD, IBD and IBS. GERD, or gastroesophageal reflux disease, is a persistent condition where the acid from the belly backs up into the esophagus, or the food pipe.
